The Bols story starts with Lucas Bols in 1575, where he established a distillery in Amsterdam. It was names ‘t Lootsje, which translated to the little shed. Today, it’s far from little and known as one of the oldest spirits brands in the world. It is Lucas’ recipe that has been handed down through the generation and which is still used to this day.
