“Fat Bastard Malbec is rich purple in colour, packing black fruit flavour along with ripe plum and touches of cherry and chocolate. Fine tannins provide good structure and a lingering finish. Perfect for everyday enjoyment, this will be right at home alongside your next roast dinner.
100% Mendoza Malbec, fermented in open stainless steel vats on skins for 14 days. Gentle pressing off skins via airbag press. Matured in a selection of old French oak. Bottled to screwcap to retain freshness.
The Fat Bastard story is one of friendship and passion for the wine industry. It was when Guy came to sample Thierry’s recent vintage that the range was born. Originally, the wine was only for experimentation, but when the pair tasted it together, they knew they had something special. Thierry’s reaction of the wine – ‘now zat iz what you call eh phet bast-ard’ – birthed the name of the wine. If you’d like to read more about the pair’s journey, click here.”
