Ouma Rusks are a South African staple for a reason. This iconic brand has been there when people wake up for generations. The perfect dipping rusk!
1939 was an important year for Ouma Greyvenstein. What originally started as a way to encourage her local comminity during the Great Depression turned into what we’ve come to love today. After baking and selling her first batch of rusks, which were baked using her family recipe, she knew she had to keep going. In fact, she received so many orders, she had to relocate. And so, our beloved Ouma Rusks were born. To this day, the bakery runs 24/7 to ensure we can always wake up to an Ouma.
