Aged for a minimum of three years, the Three Ships Whiskey is slightly sweet with a warm finish.
While scoring 81 out of a possible 100 in the Jim Murray rating, this golden liquid is a great introductory whiskey.
Located in Wellington, South Africa, the Three Ships story takes us back to 1850. This is when Captain James Sedgwick sailed to the Cape and founded his own company J. Sedgwick & Co. It was in 1886 that they puchased a distillery – The James Sedgwick Distillery – which would go on to be the oldest one in South Africa. Their Three Ships Whiskey was founded in 1977.
