The story of William Robertson pinot noir starts during the late 19th century a worker community occupied the land where the Robertson Winery now stands. They built a stone church and their congregation were served by missionaries. When Robertson Winery was established in 1941 the small church was no longer in use and the winery acquired the building for its winemaking and cellaring operations. Today the historic church still plays an important role in the maturation of the wines. Sourcing fruit from 43 partner farms all of which have a share in the business the estate is able to produce a diverse and complete range of wines from the many terroirs available. The modern clean temperature-controlled winery is an industry benchmark making consistent and highly-acclaimed wines at all levels.
“This ruby coloured William Robertson Pinot Noir has ripe cherries and strawberry on the nose, with slightly spiced red fruit and soft tannins on the palate, with a light touch of oak. With an emphasis on fresh fruit flavours.
The aromas are predominantly of youthful cherry and strawberry. Light and supple on the palate. Gives a forgiving, soft and smooth finish to round off the sip.
