“Created in the Robertsons district, De Wetshof Nature in Concert Pinot Noir has beautifully rich complexities of fresh, full-ripe crispy berries and cherries are complemented by pronounced velvety-nutty flavours on the mid-palate leading to smooth tannins on the finish. Maturation in the finest French oak assists in unleashing the typical and classical Pinot Noir fruit flavours whilst maintaining all the characteristics of an elegant wine.
The juice was cold soaked and had skin contact for 8 days. It was fermented dry on the skins and malolactic fermentation took place in small French Oak barrels whereafter it further matured in the barrels for 12 months before bottling. Pinot Noir’s characteristic of being “an iron fist in a velvet glove” allows it to partner robust foods. This makes for a deliciously easy drinking wine, perfect for an event or relaxing with your significant other in the wintertime and romantic dinner.
Pairs well with veal, risotto, paté and ostrich. Also would balance well with lobster, crayfish and rich seafood dishes.”
