The KWV Roodeberg Red is a beautiful, ruby wine. Containing hints of chocolate a spicy vanilla, the palate is mainly of summer berries.
KWV Roodeberg Red has been in production for over fifty years and still remains a favourite. It’s best served with pasta and grilled meats.
KWV, or Ko-operatieve Wijnbouwers Vereniging van Zuid Afrika, was registered all the way back in 1918. It took them only 8 years to produce the first brandy in 1926, which was exported to the UK. Even though KWV’s journey hasn’t always been an easy one – having to face decreased sales due to the war etc. – the company celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2006. They did this by launching their Diamond Jubilee Brandy (a blend of 10, 12, 15 and 23-year-old brandies).
