The Diemersfontein Shiraz has a rich plum aroma with hints of cloves and white pepper. That hint of spice is carried through on the taste, as the wine has a spicy fruit finish.
The Diemersfontein estate has been in the Sonnenberg family since 1940. First bought by David’s grandfather and then passed down to his father, Richard – who planted the first vines in 1970. Since then, the vineyard has been responsible for truly exception wines. This includes the wooded Pinotage which won the Paul Sauer award in 2001.
