The Maizena Cornflour is a highly refined flour great for various baked goods, tarts, and more.
There is an endless list of things you could do with Maizena Cornflour, but we thought we’d give you a little teaser. For these crumpets, you will need the following ingredients:
2 tablespoons Cornflour
8 tablespoons flour
1.5 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Oil
1 beaten egg
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (add to egg when beating)
Start by sieving all of your dry ingredients, save the sugar, together in a bowl. Following that, add the other ingredients in and whisk it all together until smooth. Let is stand for a short while, while you heat up a non-stick pan over a medium heat. Butter it up and put 1/4 cup of the batter into the centre of your pan. Once the bubbles start showing through, turn it over and do the other side for about a minute. Enjoy them warm with syrup and/or fruits.
