The Cape Herb & Spice company story started in 1994 in the Constantia Winelands. Here, the location is quite relevant, as the sailors started their search for the spice routes in the 1400’s. By 1488, Bartholomew Diaz rounded the Cape fo Good Hope and in 1498 Vasco Da Gama established a sea route to India. From there the Dutch East India Company formed, paving the way for the spice trade. This is the rich history the Cape Herb & Spice company is established on.
